They have always been quick to respond to inquiries and/or customer service "tickets" opened up. The staff personally interacts with customers and visitors on their company's message boards. They have been mindful of alternative operating systems (read: operating systems other than Micro$oft Windows) that their customers might be using when implementing server software changes

Affordable cost

GearHost specializes in providing quality web hosting to .NET and PHP developers, making it fast and easy for them to deploy applications and websites at an affordable cost. Their cloud-based hosting service means that the usual performance bottlenecks and service outages are eliminated, and applications run four times faster than on a typical shared host.

Actively supportive, and Reliable.

I must say I was legitimately surprised to see all the negative reviews here, because our experience has been completely different. We've been a customer for over 4 years now, and we've used several of their services. I've used several other hosts over the years, and Gear Host has been the most actively supportive, and reliable. We use IIS, but a lot of the comments I have below apply to the company as a whole.

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just spoke with the owner of GearHost, as well as a representative earlier in the evening. The newest Microsoft SQL upgrade makes empty databases 1/3 larger than the previous version (approximately 6.25MB versus 4.25MB). It seems they may consider bumping up the free 10MB tier MSSQL service to 12MB or 15MB to compensate (which is pretty nice). Just 12MB would cover the 2MB increase in blank database size, so suggesting 15MB as a possibility was a nice surprise. Regardless, their database has had perfect uptime for me so far, and they reported a scant 15 minute overnight downtime to upgrade all of their servers to the latest MSSQL which, even in the IT world, is amazingly fast. They only have a couple reviews, which are negative for reasons particular to them (some site reconfiguration required by one reviewer after their files were migrated to new servers or physical machines, but no complaints about server software upgrades). But, as a new web startup, some hiccups are to be expected when getting a new business with a host of services off the ground. Give them a try! Many thanks to Ryan and Zeb for listening to my concerns, especially considering that I'm using their free account. :-)

Satisfied with Gear Host

I have to say that I am more than satisfied with GearHost. They have unbelievable customer support and really fantastic hosting. I will definitely be a long term customer and I have already told several of my friends about their great service. I am an expert in internet marketing and I have over 50 hosting accounts and they are the best by far. Its not even close in my opinion.

SURPRISED!!!!

I've been hosting websites and email at GearHost since 2004, and over all of that time, they have consistently delivered a great, stable, feature rich product at great price, with excellent customer support. I used to occasionally host some additional web sites with some other vendors, but I've pretty much stopped doing that because I've been spoiled by this company and how well they have always treated me! The "customer support" that I had experienced at the other hosting companies was next to non-existent, so I was pleasantly surprised with how quick, friendly, and helpful GearHost has always been.

Best Hosting Company

I found GearHost - the best ASP.NET, Node.js, PHP hosting company I could find. These are the things that I really like: - The admin panel is super sexy, very minimalistic and easy to use. - The prices are very good. Especially when they let you create apps for free, which is great for testing and small websites. - The feature set is awesome. All you ever need is there - support for the latest versions of languages and frameworks, MSSQL and MySQL databases, SSL certificates, domains. - The customer support is very friendly and supportive. All in all, GearHost is the best hosting company I have ever tried. Highly recommend it! Try it and see for yourself.
